Some of the things I have made for friends and family don't always go over well. And when it is a "cherished" family type recipe I *do* take it personal, even though I shouldn't. I have even revisited some of them and updated them and made them "palatable" for my guests. But it still kind of irks me that they didn't like the original inception. *shrugs*. It is what it is.
